CellTrust SMTP Gateway


SMTP Gateway is another method to connect with the CellTrust Multi-Channel Gateway and begin sending messages through several channels (SMS, email, voice) to recipients. It can also be used as an email to SMS feature. All requests to SMTP Gateway are submitted using a predefined mailbox (i.e.: gateway@celltrust.com), similar to other CellTrust Gateways the SMTP Gateway will perform primary authentication and validation, will generate an internal request, and will forward this to the CellTrust Multi-Channel Gateway for processing.

How does it work?


Simply send an email to the CellTrust Multi-Channel Gateway and we will convert it to an SMS or email and will send it to your list of recipients. You won't need to develop any code to connect your application or email address to the CellTrust Multi-Channel Gateway.

SMTP Gateway has several applications, and is especially well suited to add SMS to CRM systems. It is also an immediate solution: just create a rule in the workflow to send an email to the CellTrust Multi-Channel Gateway when required and the message inside the email will be sent as a SMS to the recipients identified.

For example, when someone submits a ticket on your website, or completes a form such as the Contact Us form, as soon as they click on SUBMIT, an email is automatically sent to the CellTrust Multi-Channel Gateway, converted to a text message and sent to your cell phone. It’s that easy.
